1. Policy Statement

Harper Luxe Serviced Apartments is committed to ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all guests, contractors, and visitors. We aim to provide a safe and healthy environment in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and all relevant UK regulations.

Our objectives are to:

  • Prevent accidents and work-related ill health.
  • Provide clear instructions, information, and adequate training to ensure competence.
  • Maintain safe premises and working conditions.
  • Regularly review and improve health and safety performance.

2. Responsibilities
  • Management: Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, provide resources, and monitor performance.
  • Future Employees: Will take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others, report hazards, and follow safety procedures.
  • Contractors & Visitors: Comply with site safety rules and report any concerns immediately.
3. Risk Assessment

We conduct regular risk assessments to identify hazards and implement control measures. Areas covered include:

  • Fire safety
  • Electrical safety
  • Slips, trips, and falls
  • Manual handling
  • Security and access control
4. Emergency Procedures

Fire Safety

  1. Fire exits are clearly marked and kept unobstructed.
  2. Fire alarms, extinguishers, and fire blankets are regularly tested.
  3. Guests are provided with fire safety instructions in their welcome pack and via the TouchStay app.

First Aid

  1. First aid kits are available on-site.
  2. Emergency contact numbers are displayed prominently.
 
5. Accident Reporting

All accidents, incidents, and near misses must be reported immediately to management. An accident log is maintained and reviewed regularly to prevent recurrence.

6. Guest Safety
  1. Security Gate: Guests are advised to keep the security gate closed at all times; the magnetic lock will engage automatically.
  2. Access: Key safe access instructions and video guides are provided for out-of-hours check-in.
  3. Parking: Parking arrangements are communicated in advance, and vehicles must be registered 48 hours prior to arrival for permit allocation.
7. Monitoring & Review

This Health and Safety Policy will be reviewed annually or whenever there is a significant change in operations or regulations. Any updates will be communicated to all stakeholders, including contractors, employees, and guests.
